Welcome to the Department of Pharmacy Technology

The Department of Pharmacy Technology endeavors to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to become a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and to be prepared to enter the workplace.  The program is designed to be efficient in terms of student time and expense.

Learn More About the Program

  • Upon completion of the certificate program graduates are prepared to apply and sit for the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCE), and
  • Upon passing the National Board (PTCE) graduates will be able to be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Massachusetts.
  • In the event the graduate does not pass the PTCE an alternative route is available to gain licensure.
  • The graduate is eligible to take an exam that will qualify them to apply for their Pharmacy Technician license. By achieving a 75% or better score on the Board of Pharmacy qualification exam the graduate will be able to apply and be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Massachusetts.
