Au Pair Weekend Program
Learning to Live Your American Dream
Bunker Hill Community College is pleased to present the Au Pair Weekend program, "Learning to Live Your American Dream," offered in Boston, Massachusetts. This unique and exciting program will help you, as an au pair working in the United States, to gain the most from your American experience.
This program can satisfy the U.S. Department of State au pair educational requirement. It is very affordable and may be customized to fit your needs. Most au pairs can earn all the credits they need by completing two of our courses, in one or two weekends, plus pre-assignments and follow-up work.
Through a fun and interesting combination of classroom discussions, fieldtrips, community engagement, and other activities, you will learn important skills for dealing with the cultural and personal challenges that international visitors in the U.S. often face. These courses will assist you in interacting directly with Americans through a number of valuable learning opportunities designed to help you enjoy and make the most of your time abroad.
You will also learn a great deal about the Boston area and gain important background knowledge to help you better understand and appreciate the American way of life. Topics include:
- Culture shock
- Conflict resolution
- U.S. history and politics
- U.S. customs and traditions
- And much more!
