To be admitted into the Commonwealth Honors Program, you must be
- A current BHCC student with a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA and at least 12 earned credits, or
- A high school graduate, joining the CHP immediately after graduating high school, with a B+ average, or
- A transfer student from another college with at least 12 earned credits and a minimum 3.5 GPA.
How do I get admitted to the Commonwealth Honors Program?
Submit your completed application (you can download the application or pick up a copy at Admissions and Enrollment Services, in the LifeMap office and in the Honors Program office in E145) and submit to the Honors Program office.
Along with the application, you will need to submit one letter of recommendation from a faculty member who knows you and your work well and an unofficial copy of the your most recent transcript. In addition, you should submit a short essay explaining why you would like to be a member of the Commonwealth Honors Program and/or what you believe the benefits of membership in the program will be.
