To be eligible for this free training opportunity, participants must be unemployed, underemployed, working fewer then 20 hours per week and/or meet the federal poverty guidelines. Also, participants who are new to the workforce such as; right out of high school, never been in the workforce and new immigrants who are able to work in the US, can apply.

Pharmacy Technician

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Google IT

This five-course, Google-designed program offers an innovative curriculum to prepare students for entry-level roles in IT support. Hosted on Qwiklabs, the courses cover key topics in IT support: troubleshooting; customer service; networking; system administration; security; and operating systems. Coursework includes a dynamic mix of video lectures, quizzes, and hands-on labs. Participants will hear from Google employees whose own foundation in IT support served as a jumping-off point for their careers. | This asynchronous program allows for flexible scheduling. Students can complete it in 2.5 months with 20 hours per week of work or in up to 8 months with 6 hours per week of work. |
Dental Assisting

Operations Technician

This program provides students with training on core system administration tasks. Students gain experience in management of: files and file systems; local users and groups; networking; processes; permissions; SSH; control of firewalls; job scheduling; troubleshooting; archiving; and logs and logical volume using the command line interface.
CIT-268 (Windows Operating Systems): 3 credits or 45 credit hours. This program is part of several IT certificate and degree pathways at BHCC. NON-800: 96 instructional clock hours in two 8-week sessions for Red Hat level I and Level II certification preparation.
