About the Start Now Events
During Start Now, new students will complete two mandatory workshops:
- Financially Empowered Workshop - students learn about resources to pay for college including free community college programs MassEducate and MassReconnect. (45 minutes)
- Advising Workshop - students learn how to plan and register for their courses. (2 hours)
Whether you’re a new or returning student, the team is on hand to welcome you for the Fall semester on the Charlestown Campus! Come say hello, ask us any questions, or just stop and chop it up (just don’t be late for class!)
Come create a name sign to color in the B Lounge Area.

Join us for our Meetup sessions, where you will have an opportunity to meet the team, and people local to our community in a casual setting as we provide food, music, and some tips/tricks to succeed at the College!
