Are you preparing to graduate and working on your transfer applications? This session is designed to give you the time and space to focus. Join us and representatives from all four UMASS colleges to complete the MassTransfer application! MassTransfer colleges include UMASS Boston, UMASS Amherst, UMASS Lowell, UMASS Dartmouth, Bridgewater State University, Salem State University, and all the State Universities and UMASS Campuses.

You'll have access to a quiet workspace where you can work independently on your applications. A transfer advisor will be available to help with questions, offer guidance on where to begin, and point you toward helpful resources.

While this isn't a formal workshop with step-by-step instruction, it's a great opportunity to get support with those tricky or unclear parts of the process. Use the time in whatever way works best for you. Desktop computers will be available, or feel free to bring your laptop, drafts, and questions.

Advance registration is required. We will not be able to accommodate walk-in visitors at this time.

This workshop is for students who have a career path in mind already. In this workshop, students will actively create a career plan, using MassHire 360 and Career Coach, free online resources at BHCC. Using these resources, students will be able to confirm what licensure or certifications are required, search for potential employers or transfer schools, and identify required skills for their career goal.

Campus Police- Online Dating Safety Workshop with Monica Anand, Officer Love, and Sgt. Martin

Navigate the digital landscape and your personal interactions with confidence. Join Campus Police and the Counseling Center for a collaborative session focused on personal security and interpersonal well-being.

This workshop provides practical strategies for two essential areas of campus life:

Online Safety & Awareness: Campus Police will provide a "street smarts" guide to the digital world, covering how to vet online profiles, protect your personal data, and stay secure when meeting new people from apps or social media.

Healthy Relationship Dynamics: The Counseling Center will facilitate a discussion on the foundations of positive interactions, including effective communication, recognizing personal boundaries, and maintaining mutual respect in any partnership.

What is BHCC PSP Contest?

The BHCC PSP (Problem Solving and Programming) contest is an individual competition designed to challenge students’ skills in algorithmic thinking and programming. Participants will solve problems, competing for first, second, and third place. Winners will receive prizes and be formally recognized by the Computer Science Department for their accomplishments in problem-solving and programming excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

The BHCC PSP (Problem Solving and Programming) contest encourages all BHCC students to apply, regardless of their current programming experience or background. While anyone with an interest in problem-solving and coding is welcome to apply, only 20 candidates will be selected to participate in the competition. This selection will ensure that each participant has the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a focused, competitive environment. Applicants will be chosen based on their enthusiasm and potential for success in programming challenges, making the BHCC PSP an inclusive yet competitive platform for emerging tech talent.

Join staff from UMass Boston and Bunker Hill as they discuss the Future Beacon Joint Admissions Program between BHCC and UMass Boston! The information session will review how you join the program, key benefits, and what you can expect as a Future Beacon Joint Admissions participant. The Future Beacon Joint Admissions program is for students who have earned fewer than 30 college credits towards their associate's degree. If you are beyond 30 credits, UMass Boston is still able to assist you with advising on transfer credit, the admissions process and any other transfer questions you may have. We encourage you to connect with a UMass Boston Transfer Enrollment Counselor either in-person at BHCC, or to schedule an appointment online!

Experience the fourth incarnation of The Floating Poems Project – "The Sweetness of Being Warned" and "Instructions for the Year 2001: Remember Your Way Home." This multimedia project is based on the poetry, collages and photographs from The Ways of Grace: Poems of Truth & Joy by Robin M. Chandler, with collaborative artists Jorge Arce on drums, and Willy Jones (BHCC Alumni) on piano. Poetry reading by the author and artist, Robin M. Planning to transfer to a four-year college? Join us for a full day of campus exploration as we visit Bridgewater State University and Stonehill College. You’ll tour each campus, meet with admissions staff, and learn what it’s really like to transfer, all while comparing a large public university and a smaller private college in one trip. Transportation and LUNCH is provided, so just bring your questions and your curiosity.

We are pleased to welcome prospective first-year students to campus for a tour. Led by an admission counselor, this hour and half visit includes a Bunker Hill application overview and a campus tour. The overview covers the admission process and financial aid, followed up by a student led tour.

The purpose of this group is to acquire and practice standardized American English, while at the same time learning how to navigate life at the College as an English Language Learner and/or immigrant. We will talk about the best language learning methods, along with strategies for dealing with coursework, professors, classmates, registration, transfer and career planning, financial issues, and much more. We discuss many of the challenges of life at the College, as well the ways to take advantage of the many opportunities that exist at Bunker Hill as well. The group is open to all students.

The Basketball Skills Academy will focus on mastering the art of the game through structured, repetitive drills to improve game performance. Instructor Casey Clarkson

An amazing performance featuring unique original music by BHCC students. This Hot Mic will spotlight members of the Intro to the Music Business class. Featuring original work by Barry O'Toole, Fox Guin, Jake Cunningham, and Jeremy Garcia, performed by many members of the class. This workshop is for students who have a career path in mind already. In this workshop, students will actively create a career plan, using MassHire 360 and Career Coach, free online resources at BHCC. Using these resources, students will be able to confirm what licensure or certifications are required, search for potential employers or transfer schools, and identify required skills for their career goal.

Activity: Effective test-taking skills involve thorough preparation, managing anxiety, and strategic, active engagement during the exam. Before the test, focus on consistent review, using active recall (e.g., flashcards), and simulating exam conditions to build endurance.

(Recommended for students with 30-60 credits and who have attended the Transfer 101 Workshop)

Are you getting close to graduating? This workshop will focus on the final two stages of transferring: Applying and Deciding. Topics that will be covered include: applying to four-year colleges and making informed decisions on which colleges to attend, requesting letters of recommendations, writing your transfer essays, and using the Common Application.

Celebrate with us in a beautiful blend of cultures and traditions. Feel free to wear your traditional or cultural clothes.
