Meet the Advising & LifeMap Career Advising team!

 

Samira Belaoun

Success Coach/Career Advisor

Samira has been an advisor at BHCC for the last 15 years. As a Career Advisor, she assists student with career exploration, choosing a major, and resume writing. She assists new students in their transition to BHCC through the Advising and Registration orientation process. As a Success Coach, Samira continues to provide advising support to students while they’re enrolled in a Learning Community Seminar. She works closely with students enrolled in STEM programs. She enjoys working with students to help them set and achieve their goals. Outside of her role in advising, Samira has also been an adjunct faculty member in the Global Languages department for 12 years. She speaks French and Arabic.

 

Andy Caul

Success Coach/Career Advisor

Andy has over a decade experience working in advising and he has been at the College as an academic advisor and success coach for the last four years. In this role, he assists students understand curricula and academic policies, helps students with registration, and guides them through career exploration.

 

Ryan D’Arcy

Success Coach/Career Advisor

In addition to being a Success Coach, Ryan D’Arcy is an Academic & Career Advisor. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice and an M.Ed in Special Education. Prior to working full-time in advising, Ryan was the Evening Supervisor of the Tutoring and Academic Support Center located on the Charlestown Campus of BHCC.

 

Jennifer Erilus

Career Advisor

Jenn provides career advising services to students, focusing on career exploration, academic majors, and resume review. She joins Advising & LifeMap, bringing over a decade of experience working with students in the areas of vocational exploration, college access, and social and personal development.

 

Gene Gant

Success Coach/Career Advisor

Gene is a career advisor who specializes in helping students explore career choices, as well as academic majors and changes in goals. Students should contact Gene for anything related to exploring, planning and choosing an academic major or career path.

In addition, Gene is available to:

  • Administer and interpret vocational interests, skills, and other career assessment measures resulting in better academic and career decisions
  • Help you identify short/long term education and career goals
  • Provide assistance with resume and cover letter writing/editing; interview questions and preparation; and identify effective strategies that support your search for a rewarding job or internship

 

Christina Hannon

Success Coach/Career Advisor

Christina Hannon joined the Advising & LifeMap team in March 2019.  She is a Success Coach/Career Advisor who helps new and continuing students plan for academic success while looking towards the future.  Christina can help students plan classes, explore programs, and research careers. 

 

Brian Moore

Success Coach/Career Advisor

Brian provides academic and career advising services to new students who are registering for the first time at Bunker Hill, current students progressing toward their educational goals, and students who are interested in exploring and developing successful career pathways. Within his advising role, Brian assists students in selecting courses and understanding their program of study, conducts and reviews career interest assessments with students, shares career planning resources, critiques students’ resumes, connects students with appropriate campus resources, and fosters the development of students’ personal academic and career plans.

 

Christopher Rule

Success Coach/Career Advisor

Chris has been a member of Life Map at BHCC since 2015. First serving as Employer Relations Coordinator where he was active in supporting students with procuring internship and employment opportunities while working with employers in their professional staffing needs. Chris later went on to his next role as an Academic and Career Counselor, where he assists students in developing comprehensive academic plans tailored to meet the individual goals of the student. Furthermore, Chris also supports students in strategies aimed at accomplishing career goals as well as coaching preparedness to be successful for entry into the workforce. In addition, Chris also instructs courses under the Sport Management program. Chris has extensive knowledge in the sports industry, higher education and the non-profit sector. Chris strives to deliver the best in student experience, guiding every step of the way through navigating the college journey to ultimately launching the professional career.
