BHCC and The Hispanic-American Institute Small Business Initiative
The Hispanic-American Institute (HAI), with funding from the Massachusetts Office for Business Development (MOBD) and the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC), are working with a team of small business specialists and Bunker Hill Community College to offer minority-owned restaurants free, practical solutions and methods that would restore their revenue and profit margins to pre-COVID-19 levels.
The goals of this program
- Support Small Businesses restore their revenues - by providing technical and financial assistance to small businesses and restaurants across the State, particularly those owned by women and minorities located in the target cities of Chelsea, Lynn, Salem, Peabody, Revere, Lawrence, Haverhill, Brockton, Taunton, and Springfield, Massachusetts (Gateway Cities)
- Revitalize downtowns - by providing technological solutions and technical advice to restaurants and small businesses in downtown districts in Gateway Cities (GC), small businesses are restored thereby attracting more foot traffic and increasing the economic activity to Gateway Cities.
