The Bunker Hill Community College Foundation 2017 Gala

Monuments of Student Success 2017

“My Foundation Scholarship came at the right moment – when I needed it most. I was considering dropping out of school and getting a full-time and a part-time job just to get a little bit ahead. The scholarship allowed me to stay in school full-time, work only 20 hours per week, and graduate in May, 2016.”

Robert Encarcion graduated with High Honors and was a member of Alpha Kappa Mu; he is now pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business. Robert is featured in the accompanying video, along with other gala-funded BHCC Foundation Scholars, who graduated last year. You will see that gala donations have been used wisely and well, providing opportunity to talented and motivated students to achieve success.

The Bunker Hill Community College Foundation will host its 2017 annual gala on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at a new site in Charlestown. Our goal is to raise $225,000, enabling 45 – 50 students to receive scholarships to cover financial need not met by federal or state funds. As in the past, gala expenses will be covered by donations so that EVERY DOLLAR DONATED will go directly to our student scholars.

The Bunker Hill Community College Foundation presents our 2017 Annual Gala Monuments of Student Success and Achievement
to be held at the offices of RSM USA LLP
80 City Square
Charlestown, MA 02129
Thursday, April 20, 2017
6:00 – 8:30 PM

BHCC Culinary Arts and Hospitality students will be on hand to prepare and serve a delicious repast and the faculty and student jazz quartet will provide music. The evening’s program will feature recipients of scholarships funded through previous years’ galas who are on track to graduate this year. You will hear their stories of challenges faced and hardships overcome, and will be moved to celebrate their success and achievement.

We hope you will invest in our students again – or for the first time – and help build monuments of student success and achievement.
