Departing BHCC at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 4th and returning by 4 p.m., the day kicks off with a tour and complimentary lunch at Merrimack College, followed by an visit to Salem State University.

We are pleased to welcome prospective first-year students to campus for a tour. Led by an admission counselor, this hour and half visit includes a Bunker Hill application overview and a campus tour. The overview covers the admission process and financial aid, followed up by a student led tour.
Advance registration is required. We will not be able to accommodate walk-in visitors at this time.

The School of General Studies of Columbia University is a liberal arts college in created specifically for returning and nontraditional students seeking a rigorous, traditional, Ivy League undergraduate degree full or part time.
The typical/average annual scholarship to Columbia GS is $25,000 (this is around the amount a student can expect), and some receive scholarships higher than this, up to $35,000 a year.

The REAL Program provides a full-time Tufts undergraduate education for adults seeking a Bachelor's degree. The program is intended for students who are 24 years of age or older, parents, married, veterans, or currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Professor and Author of Graphic Women: Life Narrative and Contemporary Comics
Dr. Hillary Chute is Distinguished Professor of English and Art + Design at Northeastern University and has taught at Harvard University and the University of Chicago. She is the author or editor of seven books, including Graphic Women: Life Narrative and Contemporary Comics (from Columbia University Press in 2010), Disaster Drawn: Visual Witness, Comics, and Documentary Form (from Harvard University Press in 2016), Why Comics? From Underground to Everywhere (from Harper in 2017), and the recent collection Maus Now: Selected Writing (from Pantheon in 2022). Chute was also Associate Editor of Art Spiegelman’s MetaMaus: A Look Inside a Modern Classic, Maus (2011). She has written for venues including Public Books, Artforum, Bookforum, the Village Voice, the Atlantic, the New York Review of Books, and the New York Times Book Review. At the New York Times Book Review she wrote the “Graphic Content” column reviewing comics, with co-columnist Ed Park, from 2018 to 2022. She is featured in the documentary Disaster is My Muse: Art Spiegelman, part of the PBS American Masters series, which first aired in April 2025.
