Our programs include Allied Health, Emergency Studies, Medical Imaging, Nurse Education, Pharmacy Technology, and Surgical Technology. The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of The Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The Department of Allied Health offers certificate programs preparing students to become Medical Assistants, Medical Interpreters and Patient Care Technicians. Courses are also available to train students to become Certified Nurse Assistants (C.N.A.s)/Home Health Aides as well as Emergency Medical Technicians (E.M.T.s). The also offers certificate programs that prepare students to become registered Central Processing Technicians and registered Surgical Technicians.
The Paramedic Studies Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org), 9355 - 113th St. N, #7709, Seminole, FL 33775, 727-210-2350. The program is a 15 month certificate program is designed for certified Emergency Medical Technicians desiring to advance their level of certification and training. The program follows the National Standard EMT-Paremedic Curriculum meeting and/or exceeding the requirements set forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services and the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Profession preparing students to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians written and practical exam. Following completion of the certificate program, students can complete general education requirements to receive an Associate in Paramedics Studies.
