- The BHCC Library is part of the NOBLE library consortium, which gives our patrons the ability to borrow items from within the consortium as well as other consortiums throughout the state. BHCC-affiliated patrons (i.e. students, faculty, and staff) also have the ability to request research articles and books from academic institutions and public libraries from across the country.
Requesting Items from Other NOBLE Libraries
- Items owned by other NOBLE libraries will appear in our Library Catalog. Simply click on the Place Hold option when you find an item that you want and then type in your library barcode and PIN/password when prompted. You can then select which NOBLE library you want to pick the item up at and how you want to be notified when it’s ready to pick up.
Requesting Items from Massachusetts Libraries Outside of NOBLE
- BHCC patrons can use the Commonwealth Catalog (COMCAT) to place requests for items owned by libraries in Massachusetts that aren’t part of the NOBLE consortium to be delivered to the BHCC Library. Log in by selecting your home library (Bunker Hill Community College) and then typing in your library barcode and PIN/password. If you have issues logging into or using COMCAT, please email bhcclibrary@bhcc.edu and we can assist you with using COMCAT or we can place the request for you.
