BHCC Magazine Brings Home National Award

The BHCC Magazine, a publication of Bunker Hill Community College, was awarded the Silver Paragon Award at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) 2017 National Conference, held in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges. The submissions are judged by marketing and PR professionals across the country. This year, gold, silver and bronze awards were awarded across fifty categories, encompassing print, electronic, video and outdoor media. Browse the Paragon winners.

The BHCC Magazine, written and designed in-house by the College’s Integrated Marketing and Communications Division, serves as an important outreach vehicle for the College to faculty, staff, students, alumni and the larger community. This edition includes a feature on Starring Students, an interview with Secretary of Education Jim Peyser, a recap of Senator Elizabeth Warren’s inspiring commencement address, new program features and more. BHCC was also awarded a District 1 Gold medallion award for the magazine last fall at the NCMPR District 1 Conference in Newport, Rhode Island. View the magazine online.

NCMPR supports the professional development of community college communicators, serving more than 1,700 members from more than 550 colleges across the United States and Canada. It is the only fall 2015 magazine coverorganization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges and is one of the largest affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges.
