Bunker Hill Community College Student Government Advocate for Community Colleges at the State House

More than 200 Massachusetts community college students, faculty, staff, and presidents gathered at the State House on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 for Community College Student Advocacy Day to meet with members of the Legislature and urge that they support the state’s community college system in providing a better funded, more accessible, high-quality education for its students.

Five members of the Bunker Hill Community College Student Government Association (SGA) met with Middlesex and Suffolk District of Massachusetts State Senator Sal DiDomenico.

The SGA members in attendance were:

  • Melisa Balla, SGA President
  • Jair Ayalas, Associate Vice President, Chelsea Campus
  • David Kim, Vice President of Finance and Administration
  • Khiem Nguyen, Vice President of Academic Affairs
  • Victoria Perez, Executive Secretary

Will Cribby, Assistant Dean of Students, accompanied the SGA to the State House.
