State Secretary Rosalin Acosta will be the keynote speaker at Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC)’s 44th Commencement exercises, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, on the Charlestown Campus.

Bunker Hill Community College and MassBay Community College are pleased to announce a student radiology team has placed first at this year’s Massachusetts Society of Radiologic Technologists (MSRT) Buzz Bowl competition. The Buzz Bowl was part of the MSRT 87th Annual Conference and this year’s theme was “Wild About Radiology.”

Emceed by WGBH Higher Education correspondent Kirk Carapezza, the Bunker Hill Community College Foundation hosted its 2018 Annual Gala on April 26, 2018.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) student Mussie Teshome Demisse was one of the 29 graduates of Massachusetts public colleges and universities honored at the State House May 4, 2018. Governor Charlie Baker, Secretary of Education James Peyser and Commissioner of Higher Education Carlos E. Santiago attended the “29 Who Shine” ceremony.

On Thursday, April 5, 2018, Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) hosted the first annual Science and Engineering Alumni Dinner to celebrate the success of BHCC alumni and thank the many supporters who created research, internship and employment opportunities for BHCC students. 

On Saturday, May 19, 2018, Massachusetts Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Rosalin Acosta delivered the keynote address to graduates of Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) at the 44th Commencement exercises.

Author Edwidge Danticat visited the Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) campus on Thursday, April 26, 2018, to discuss her national bestseller The Dew Breaker with the BHCC community as part of the College’s One Book program, which brings the entire College community together to read the same book over the course of an academic year.

Mayor Martin J. Walsh, Boston School Committee Chairperson Michael Loconto and Boston Public Schools (BPS) Superintendent Tommy Chang honored 36 valedictorians of BPS at the 20th Annual BPS Valedictorians Luncheon at the Boston Harbor Hotel on Tuesday, May 29. The luncheon acknowledged BPS valedictorians for their accomplishments. Among the 36 valedictorians, three have decided to attend Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) as their next destination in their educational careers.
