Exploring Human Services Careers and Exploring Social Work Careers

Looking for a meaningful career that’s also in high-demand in the state of Massachusetts? Two FREE courses are being offered at BHCC to launch you into the fields of Social Work and Human Services.

Exploring Social Work Careers

This course provides an overview of various careers in social work including clinician, school based, medical and community based social work.

Wednesday, April 24 – Saturday, April 27
W, Th, F: 6-9 p.m.
Saturday: 9-3 p.m.
 

Exploring Human Services Careers

This course provides an overview of various careers in the human services field, including counseling, social work, psychiatric nursing, and psychology.

Wednesday, April 3 – Saturday, April 6
W, Th, F: 6-9 p.m.
Saturday: 9-3 p.m.
 

Each course will give students insights into the roles, responsibilities, and qualifications required for the professions listed above. Courses will have a particular emphasis on the practical skills needed for these career paths, effective communication and empathy, and embracing diversity and social justice.  

The courses will be offered as open enrollment, and can also be offered to employers as a custom training to upskill incumbent workers at your organization.

  • Courses are intended to feed into the Human Services degree program at BHCC
