The annual Women’s Edge Two 100 Women-Led Businesses is an annual who’s-who of leaders, companies, and institutions that exemplify gender equity and excellence. For the third consecutive year, Bunker Hill Community College was included on the list, this year coming in at number 55.

Beamex, a prominent leader in calibration and instrumentation solutions, has established a scholarship fund with a generous donation of $10,000 to support students enrolled in the Electric Power Utility Technology (EPUT) program at Bunker Hill Community College. This contribution is a result of the proceeds from the 2023 Annual Calibration Exchange (ACE) event organized by Beamex.

BHCC Celebrates Professor Caroline Kautsire’s Memoir "Some Kind of Girl: An African Girl Looking for America"

Caroline KautsireBunker Hill Community College's One Book Program is celebrating the selection of its own faculty member, Professor Caroline Kautsire, for the 2023-24 school year. Kautsire's recently published memoir, "Some Kind of Girl: An African Girl Looking for America," details her journey of emigrating from Malawi to the United States and addresses themes of culture shock, identity, gender, race, class, and the challenges of navigating the immigration system. As an English and writing professor at BHCC, Kautsire's book has been integrated into the college's curriculum, sparking discussions, author talks, book signings, and student engagement throughout the academic year.

On November 27, 2023, at the University Crossing building on the UMass Lowell campus, the Dual Admissions agreement signing between Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) and UMass Lowell became official with the signatures of BHCC President Pam Eddinger and UMass Lowell Chancellor Julie Chen. Staff members from both institutions, including BHCC Provost James Canniff and UMass Lowell Provost Joseph Hartman, commemorated this significant occasion.
